When is the 8th Annual Give Hope Gala?

Where is it going to be held?

The Westin Charlotte uptown at 601 South College Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

May I stay at the hotel the night of the Gala?

The Westin has graciously offered Give Hope rooms at a rate of $159 per night. This rate will be available for the evening of Friday, November 7th, subject to availability. Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes. Reservations can be made by calling the Westin and asking for the Give Hope Gala block or by reserving a room online through this link.

 

How much does it cost to attend?

We are excited to offer both in-person and virtual ticket options this year for our 8th Annual Give Hope Gala. The cost for regular attendance is $175, VIP tickets are $300 and the virtual event link will be $50.

What do VIP tickets include?
VIP tickets include complimentary event parking, 5:00pm Early Entry VIP reception with premium open bar with appetizers, preferred seating and a VIP gift. There are a limited number of VIP tickets available, which will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
What is a Give Hope Gala Watch Party Host? How do I register?

As a Give Hope Gala Watch Party Host, you will invite friends and family to your home to watch the virtual event. You will provide food and beverages for your guests, solicit a raffle or auction item and distribute the Party Box items. Two weeks prior to the event, we will mail a Watch Party Box to the address provided. The Watch Party Box will include information about Give Hope Global, instructions for your guests on how to register with our online bidding service, event programs, and VIP gifts for your guests. When will I receive my link to the event?

A link will be emailed to you prior to the event.

Do you sell tickets at the door?
Unfortunately, No. Tickets must be purchased (and meal choices confirmed) prior to the event.
What is the attire?

The attire for the 8th Annual Give Hope Gala is black tie optional. Most men will be dressed in a suit and tie (tuxedo optional) with the ladies wearing cocktail/evening dresses.

How does the silent auction work?

We will be utilizing Qtego mobile bidding the night of the event for our silent auction. Have your phones fully charged for the Virtual event! You will be able to use your smartphone to keep up with the status of your bid and continue bidding until it closes.

The silent auction items will be available for viewing through our website and bidding for items will begin two weeks before the gala and continue through until the close of the silent auction. You can be the winning bidder from wherever you are at in the world! The week following the event, your item will be shipped to the address provided upon registration. Please watch Facebook and our website for details. If you are a registered gala guest, information will be emailed to you.

I am unable to attend the event, can I still bid on the silent auction items?
Absolutely!! Simply register to bid online at any time. When bidding opens for the silent auction items, you will be sent a text message with a link to start bidding! Please be sure to enter your cell phone number when registering so that you receive the text message with the link.
How does the Live Auction work?
The Live Auction is one of the high points of the evening. There will be opportunities to bid on exciting items (which will be listed on the website as the Gala date gets closer). The excitement will grow as friends vie for one-of-a-kind items that are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
How can I contribute an auction item?
The Gala Auction Committee welcomes any donation to the auction. Donations of product, services and gift cards would be appreciated. We encourage you to be creative. You can donate art, jewelry, kid-related items, vacation homes, electronics, sports memorabilia, entertainment and sporting event tickets, services, home décor, furniture….the list of possibilities goes on and on!
How do I/we become an event sponsor?
Many sponsorship opportunities are available. We need the support of our donors, local businesses and organizations through sponsorship. Sponsorship not only benefits Give Hope Global, but it gives visibility for businesses through the sponsorship package options. What if I have to cancel?
Unfortunately, refunds are not issued for this event. If a cancellation is made with prior written notice of the event, the price of the registration or table will be considered a charitable donation to Give Hope Global and a tax donation letter will be issued.
